You can find us nestled in the countryside on the Chigborough Farm and Fisheries estate, a 130-acre rural oasis on the outskirts of the picturesque, historical market town of Maldon in Essex. We are a Farm Cafe dedicated to serving Michelin-style dishes crafted with the best local produce we can source. Whether you're joining us for a leisurely brunch, tea and cake or a casual dinner, we promise to deliver something delicious.
EAT & DRINK
We take pride in sourcing fresh, seasonal produce directly from local farms and fishermen, showcasing the very best of Essex. Our Aussie-inspired brunch is served from 9am, Wednesday to Sunday. From November to February, we also offer a two- or three-course set Sunday Roast. Everything is freshly prepared on site, so menus may change to reflect what's in season. Reservations are recommended, with advance booking advised for weekends and special occasions.
DOG FRIENDLY
Our converted barn is dog friendly inside and out. With spacious seating, hard flooring and drinking bowls available, The Farm Cafe is the perfect spot for you and your furry friend to relax and enjoy. In the colder months, feel free to bring a dog blanket or cushion for your pets. Just up the road and accessible throughout the year, is an Essex Wildlife Trust nature reserve with 2km of circular walking trails, so why not join us for a hot drink or glass of wine next to the fire after your walk.
