You can find us nestled in the countryside on the Chigborough Farm and Fisheries estate, a 130-acre rural oasis on the outskirts of the picturesque, historical market town of Maldon in Essex. We are a Farm Cafe dedicated to serving Michelin-style dishes crafted with the best local produce we can source. Whether you're joining us for a leisurely brunch, tea and cake or a casual dinner, we promise to deliver something delicious.
EAT & DRINK
We pride ourselves on sourcing fresh, local and seasonal produce direct from the local farms and fisherman, celebrating the best of Essex. We serve an Aussie inspired brunch menu from 9am Thursday to Sunday and a casual dinner menu from 5pm on Friday and Saturday evenings. From November to February, we also serve a two or three course set Sunday Roast menu. Everything is freshly made on-site, so occasionally menus can vary.
DOG FRIENDLY
Our converted barn is dog friendly inside and out. With spacious seating, hard flooring and drinking bowls available, The Farm Cafe is the perfect spot for you and your furry friend to relax and enjoy. In the colder months, feel free to bring a dog blanket or cushion for your pets. Just up the road and accessible throughout the year, is an Essex Wildlife Trust nature reserve with 2km of circular walking trails, so why not join us for a hot drink or glass of wine next to the fire after your walk.

If you're looking to host a gathering or celebrate a special occasion, we offer exclusive hire of our venue and outside space. Our rustic barn is the perfect backdrop for your next event, from baby showers to weddings we can create a bespoke package to suit you.
